Horses are a smart breed. People need to realize a horses ability. If you care for and love horses they will do anything for you. To a lot of people this seems too good to be true. The facts are there, if people would just watch and see the horse at work and play. If you respect your horse, it will respect you. Grooming is a nice way of getting use to your horse and is soothing to them. Teaching them to do things can be easy or hard.  We must remember they can be like children. If you show them how to do something and they forget, show them again. Don't get mad if they forgot. Just show them that you understand and that you will teach them until they know it well. The teaching of a horse is just repeating until they understand. Some horses pick up things much faster than others so you must remember to move on to other tasks so they don't get bored. A horse will get bored just like a child kept in the same grade year after year. But with a horse it isn't years, of course, its days. You may read books or talk to other people about how to train a horse. There is no certain way to train. Just because you read or someone tells you this is how you do it, doesn't mean that their way is your way. Use all the information available to make your way of training the right way for you and your horse. If you feel comfortable with it your horse will too.
